The AVEF MERIAL Equi-encounters
For everything you may want to know about your horse's health, come to the AVEF/MERIAL Equi-encounters on Saturday 10 December at 1.30 pm in the Agora Area.
Organised in partnership with the "AVEF", the Association of Equine Veterinaries, and Merial, the leader in animal health, this event is aimed at a wide audience: riders, managers of riding clubs, owners, breeders, dealers, etc.
The objective is to allow information to be more accessible so that people have a greater understanding of equine health problems and to better inform them about the basic rules to follow, which will allow a horse to remain in good health.
Don't miss our practical conferences:
- "From foal to athlete: changes in behaviour, elements of risk" by Mrs Martine Hausberger, Director of Research
- "Epidemiological monitoring of horses' main viral complaints in France" by Doctor Jean-Yves Gauchot, the Chairman of RESPE - Réseau d'Epidémio Surveillance des Pathologies Equines (the French Network of Epidemiological Surveillance for Equine Diseases).
-"Horses' gastric ulcers: origins, symptoms and impact on the well-being, the activity and the performance of horses", by Anne Couroucé Malblanc, a professor at the Nantes Veterinary School.
A gastroscopy will be carried out live during the conference.

This documentary follows the creation and training of the impressive unit of the Guard Cavalry of the Emir of Qatar, under the responsibility of Thierry Delavaud, a former major of the French Republican Guard.
This extraordinary human and equestrian adventure allows us to discover Qatar in a new light.

Following their success in 2009 and 2010, the Equi-encounters will return to the Agora Cavadeos/ L'Eperon Area on Saturday 10 December 2011. Organised in conjunction with the "AVEF", the Association of French Equine Veterinaries, and Merial, the leader in animal health, this event is aimed at a wide audience: riders, managers of riding clubs, owners, breeders, dealers, etc. The objective is to allow information to be more accessible so that people have a greater understanding of equine health problems and to better inform them about the basic rules to follow, which will allow a horse to remain in good health.
Internet users from all over the world will be able to benefit from these high level conferences thanks to the http://www.ffe.com website, which will broadcast the debates live on FFETV.
